After more than four years without a major live runway presentation, Kanye West is preparing to put Yeezy back on the fashion calendar.
The rapper and designer, now known as Ye, has announced Yeezy Season 01, a new runway show scheduled for November 4 in Los Angeles.
The presentation will take place at 8 PM local time inside Yeezy’s Droam 1 flagship store on Beverly Boulevard, marking the brand’s first major live runway event since 2022.
The name Season 01 suggests a new chapter for Yeezy, which has undergone significant changes over the past several years.
For much of the 2010s, Yeezy became one of the most recognizable names in contemporary streetwear, particularly through its partnership with Adidas.
Its sneakers, oversized silhouettes and minimalist designs influenced fashion trends far beyond the brand’s own collections.
But that partnership ended in 2022 after Ye made antisemitic statements, prompting Adidas and several other companies to cut ties with him.
Since then, Yeezy has continued operating independently while attempting to rebuild its fashion business.
Earlier this year, the brand began a gradual relaunch through its online store, offering basic clothing pieces and reintroducing its products directly to consumers.
Now, Season 01 marks a return to one of fashion’s most visible platforms: the runway.
Unlike the large-scale Yeezy presentations of previous years, this show will take place inside the brand’s own retail space, reflecting a more independent approach.
The collection itself has not yet been revealed, leaving questions about the designs, models and overall direction of the presentation.
For fashion followers, the event is notable because of Yeezy’s history of influencing streetwear, footwear and celebrity fashion.
At the same time, the return is taking place against the background of Ye’s past controversies, which remain inseparable from the brand’s recent history.
