Lil Baby has played on some pretty unusual equipment, but his latest gaming setup might be the strangest one yet.
The Atlanta rapper has shared a series of Instagram photos showing himself playing Xbox on a console built inside a life-sized artificial alligator.
And yes, the console actually works.
In the post, shared on November 4 as part of a partnership with Xbox, Lil Baby described himself as the first person in the world to play what he called the Xbox Gator.
The bizarre creation is officially named the Xbox Series X-BITE, a custom version of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X console.
Unveiled by Xbox on November 3, the console measures more than five feet long and is designed to look as though an alligator has swallowed an entire gaming system.
The controller rests between the animal’s jaws, complete with decorative bite marks, while illuminated Xbox branding appears through its body.
The entire structure was created by John Nolan Studio, a specialist effects company whose work includes projects connected to The Witcher and Jurassic World Dominion.
Despite its unusual appearance, the alligator is completely artificial, and Xbox confirms that no real animals were used to create it.
Only one Xbox Series X-BITE exists.
Microsoft is giving it away through a competition running from November 3 to November 10, although participation is limited to eligible residents of the United States.
Lil Baby’s involvement adds another unexpected celebrity moment to the promotion.
His Instagram post includes the hashtag #xboxpartner, confirming that the content is part of a commercial partnership.
While the rapper says he’s the first person to play the console, Xbox has not independently confirmed that particular claim.
Still, the idea of a playable Xbox hidden inside a giant alligator is exactly the kind of internet moment that gets people talking.
Whether it’s a gaming console or a piece of unusual home decoration, one thing is certain: this is not your average Xbox setup.
